Introduction to Islam (ITI)
INTRODUCTION
The objective of this course is to introduce participants to the fundamental elements of Islam. After completing the program, the participants are able to clarify and have correct understanding about Islam and be motivated to pursue more knowledge about Islam. The program will begin with general topics extrapolating the worldview of Islam in explaining the fundamental views about God, man, nature, knowledge and any topics deemed necessarily. The second phase is the acquisition of important skill that will assist the participant to read the Qur’an and simple Arabic writing skill which will enable them to learn the advance level in certificate and diploma.
ENTRY REQUIREMENT
• Introductory Courses: Minimum 16 years old
• Certificate: completed introductory courses and/or basic Qur'anic literacy
• Diploma: completed certificate in islamic studies

Duration of Study (April-June): 13 Weeks

CURICULUM SYSTEM
1. Introductory Courses
a. Worldview
In 2 months, the participants will learn bite size courses discussing the topics of God, creation, man and nature and any other areas deemed relevant
b. Principles
In 4 months, the participants will learn the articles of faith and pillars of Islam
c. Practices
In 6 months, the participant will learn to read the Qur’an and perform daily 5 prayers
CERTIFICATION
a. The certificate will be awarded in each component and level of studies
b. After completing the program, the participant will continue to certificate level
